The designs are for Belenix 0.7.1 and 0.8 using both KDE3 and KDE4 desktop environments.

<Notice!>New review direct to Hp contains Belenix as VM running on Hp Compaq 2230s notebook!! Can be seen here

<Notice!>An issue has come up with the alternative and Midnight Gamma themes in that the background images used in them are all copyright. This has now been rectified and a totally new background image created from scratch - meaning 100% original work by me :-)

Originally the Belenix 0.7.1 release contained a very nice KDM3 theme called WorldKdm which reminded me of the frontends used for TV shows like CSI and NCIS. Very sophisticated looking graphics with graphs and console tty outputs all over them which don't resemble any computer systems of today unless using a high-end home media system remote control or using a computerized home system in which the display shows you everything that goes around in the house both graphically and in text form while still being menu driven.

- Good examples of this can be seen on the Logitech G19 keyboard systems GUI's and top of the line Okoro home entertainment systems with built in displays and GUI driven touch screen remotes.

Hollywood OS aside, the Belenix 0.7.1 KDM theme was very futuristic and cool. The only downside to it was when logging into the system everything was plain bland boring old KDE3 with only the desktop background resembling anything close to that ultra awesome login screen. That and the fact that it was still using KDE3 when KDE4 had already been out for over a year, since 2008 for version 4.0 and development versions starting out in 2007.

Now that Belenix is being upgraded to version 0.8 a cool refreshing new look is needed for the desktop theme. Since I already run KUbuntu 9.04 on my desktop and laptop systems it definitely makes a good note pad in order to start designing before even the alpha release of Belenix is out!

Keep posted for more information and major updates to this particular part of my site, currently I am at the end of a Cisco CCNA course in which I'm trying to finish in record time to make it to my second and third job interviews with a particular company dealing in global network, WAN and large scale LAN design. Sorry for any delays if there are any between now and 2 weeks time but I'm in the thick of the finals which is really taking it's toll.
